Funds will help address immediate humanitarian needs and longer-term recovery efforts in affected communities

Evertec today announced the establishment of a USD $250,000 emergency relief fund to support communities affected by the recent earthquakes in Colombia.

As part of this effort, Evertec will contribute the funds to selected nonprofit and humanitarian relief organizations supporting communities affected by the earthquakes. The contribution will help address both immediate and longer-term needs, including emergency assistance, recovery efforts, and support for impacted individuals and families.

“Colombia is an important part of Evertec’s story and our presence across Latin America,” said Mac Schuessler, President and Chief Executive Officer of Evertec. “Our thoughts are with everyone affected by these devastating earthquakes. We know that recovery will take time, and through this contribution, we hope to provide meaningful support to individuals, families, and communities as they begin to rebuild. We stand in solidarity with the people of Colombia and remain committed to supporting our employees, clients, and the communities we proudly serve.”

Evertec has maintained operations in Colombia since 2015, with offices in Bogotá and Medellín and a local team of over 550 employees supporting clients and operations across the region. Over the years, the company has built strong relationships with employees, clients, and partners across the country. The $250,000 contribution reflects Evertec’s commitment to Colombia and to supporting the communities where its employees live and work, particularly in times of need.
