With ten simultaneous stages and an agenda dedicated to artificial intelligence, security, infrastructure, payment methods, and new financial models, choosing what to follow at FEBRABAN TECH 2026 requires planning.
Scheduled for August 24, 25, and 26, the event will be held for the first time at Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo. This edition will feature ten simultaneous stages, workshops, and spaces for podcast recordings. The Febraban Auditorium alone will have six stages operating at the same time.
With the theme “Intelligent Agents, Human Leadership”, the conference places at the center of its agenda an issue that is already part of financial institutions’ decision-making: how to expand the use of artificial intelligence without losing sight of governance, security, responsibility, and human participation.
To help organize the agenda, we selected speakers, panels, and tracks related to discussions with the greatest potential impact on the strategy, technology, and operations of financial institutions.
What to expect from FEBRABAN TECH 2026
Organized by the Brazilian Federation of Banks, FEBRABAN TECH brings together representatives from the financial, technology, sustainability, telecommunications, retail, and other sectors connected to the digital economy.
The 2026 edition will feature 13 content tracks, including artificial intelligence agents, future engineering, digital identity, payment methods, cybersecurity, and sustainable finance. The event is also expanding its structure after welcoming 58,000 visitors in 2025.
Given the extensive agenda, session choices should consider not only the prominence of the guests but also the relationship between each discussion and companies’ priorities. AI governance, security, customer experience, digital assets, and infrastructure modernization are among the topics expected to drive the industry.

Mon 08/24 | 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. | Febraban Auditorium
Joel Mokyr is known for his research on the conditions required for technological progress to result in sustained economic growth. The 2025 Prize in Economic Sciences recognized his contribution to understanding the requirements that allow progress through innovation to continue.
His participation expands the discussion beyond the immediate applications of new tools. Rather than viewing artificial intelligence solely from the perspective of short-term productivity, his research makes it possible to discuss how knowledge, openness to new ideas, and institutional capacity influence innovation cycles.
For professionals working in planning and technology investments, this historical perspective can help distinguish temporary trends from movements capable of changing economic structures and business models.
Keynote – John Maeda
John Maeda | Author and global reference in computational design and artificial intelligence
Wed 08/26 | 10:50 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. | Febraban Auditorium

The discussion is especially relevant for financial institutions investing in artificial intelligence, automation, and digital channels. A solution may be highly technically sophisticated and still face adoption difficulties when the user experience does not keep pace with that evolution.
For professionals in product, UX, digital channels, and innovation, the talk offers an opportunity to reflect on how to incorporate design from the conception of systems, rather than only at the final stage of development.
Kaynote- Radia Perlman
Radia Perlman | Engineer and global reference in network infrastructure
Tue 08/25 | 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. | Febraban Auditorium
Known as the “mother of the internet,” Radia Perlman is an engineer and fellow at Dell Technologies. Her work played an important role in the development of the protocols and architectures that support modern networks.
Her presence is particularly important at a time when financial institutions need to assess resilience, network security, distributed computing, and the potential impacts of quantum computing on current systems.
Even when banking security is not the main topic, understanding infrastructure fundamentals is essential to discussing cloud, real-time processing, service availability, and the protection of financial operations.
Strategic tracks for the financial industry
In addition to international guests and executive panels, the agenda is organized into tracks that cover different dimensions of financial innovation.
From the data center to the AI cluster: infrastructure, automation, and the new banking core
Track: Resilient innovation: cloud, data centers, and the industry’s new engineering
August 24 | 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. | Febraban Auditorium – Purple
The growth of artificial intelligence increases the infrastructure requirements of financial institutions. The adoption of generative models, multimodal systems, and real-time inference requires new decisions regarding computing capacity, availability, and processing location.
The panel addresses alternatives such as proprietary AI clusters, public cloud, sovereign clouds, colocation, and distributed structures.
For technology and architecture leaders, the session can contribute to the discussion on how to modernize the banking core without compromising security, operational continuity, and integration capacity.
Real-time hyperpersonalization, from intent to impact
Track: From big data to real-time intelligent banking
August 24 | 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. | Febraban Auditorium – Green
Financial services personalization is beginning to move from models based solely on customer history toward approaches that combine current behavior, context, and intent.
The session will discuss how banks can use data and artificial intelligence to develop interactions that are better suited to each moment in the customer journey. Possibilities include adaptive limits, personalized rates, financial stress prevention, and automated renegotiation.
The panel is especially relevant for professionals in CRM, products, data, risk, credit, and customer experience.
Exponential productivity: do customers and society benefit from multi-agent ecosystems?
August 24 | 3:50 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. | Febraban Auditorium – Blue
The panel addresses the transition from isolated assistants to ecosystems of specialized agents capable of sharing information, activating tools, auditing processes, and executing activities in real time.
This progress expands automation opportunities, but it also requires new control practices. Governance, security, traceability, and the definition of responsibilities become part of decisions regarding the adoption of AI agents.
For the financial industry, the discussion is important because these systems can operate in sensitive processes such as information analysis, customer service, fraud prevention, and decision-making support.
Open Finance at scale: from data sharing to ecosystem orchestration
Track: Open Finance: security and privacy vs. interoperability
Mon 08/24 | 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. | Febraban Auditorium – Gray
Open Finance is entering a stage in which the challenge lies not only in technical implementation but also in the ability to operate at scale.
The track addresses the need to integrate different participants, data, and services in an increasingly interdependent ecosystem. Security, privacy, and interoperability appear as conditions for the system to generate value for customers and companies.
The discussion is relevant to banks, fintechs, technology companies, and organizations developing products or partnerships based on authorized data sharing.
The mindset of the next wave of banking technology
Tue 08/25 | 11:20 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. | Febraban Auditorium
The panel begins with a central question for the industry: how can artificial intelligence, quantum computing, digital identity, and new architectures be incorporated without compromising the security and stability of operations?
